Duration: This deviation remains in effect until rescinded or incorporated into the FAR, DFARS and PGI. No expiration date applies.

Implementing authority: Section 2 of E.O. 14275 requires the FAR to contain only statute-required or essential provisions. Section 4(a) of E.O. 14265 requires the Secretary of War to eliminate or revise unnecessary supplemental regulations. OMB Memorandum M-25-26 provided additional agency guidance.
